Adafruit VL53L1X Time of Flight Distance Sensor – 4000mm Range
Detect objects accurately with the Adafruit VL53L1X Time of Flight Sensor.
Standard infrared sensors can be very unreliable. However, this VL53L1X Time of Flight Sensor uses an invisible laser. It measures the time it takes for light to bounce back. Consequently, the color of the object does not affect the reading.
Key Features:
Long Measurement Range: It features a wide range from 3cm to 4m. Because of this, it is perfect for large-scale projects.
High-Speed Sensing: It offers a fast update rate up to 50Hz. Therefore, you can track moving objects in real-time.
STEMMA QT Connectivity: Includes JST SH 4-pin connectors. Furthermore, you can chain it with other sensors without soldering.
Narrow Field of View: It focuses on a specific point. Simply point it at your target for a precise result.
Why should you buy this sensor? Are you building a drone or a smart parking system? Because of the Time of Flight technology, it is very accurate. Moreover, it works perfectly with 3V and 5V microcontrollers. Furthermore, it is much smaller than older sonar sensors. Therefore, it fits into compact robotics and wearables. Simply use the Adafruit libraries for a fast setup.
