The Arduino Micro contains all the power of the Arduino Leonardo in a small 48x18mm module. It is easier for makers to integrate Arduino technology into their projects by providing a small and handy module that can be used on a smart board or soldered to a custom PCB. The Micro was developed in collaboration with Adafruit Industries, one of the leaders of the Maker movement.
The Micro is a microcontroller card based on the ATmega32U4 (datasheet), developed in collaboration with Adafruit. It has 20 digital input / output pins (of which 7 can be used as PWM outputs and 12 as analog inputs), a 16 MHz crystal oscillator, a micro USB connection, an ICSP header and a reset button . It contains everything needed to support the microcontroller; just connect it to a computer with a micro USB cable to get started. It has a form factor that allows it to be easily placed on a breadboard. The Micro card is similar to the Arduino Leonardo in that the ATmega32U4 has integrated USB communication which eliminates the need for a secondary processor. This allows the microphone to appear on a connected computer as a mouse and keyboard, in addition to a virtual serial / COM (CDC) port.
